The P-Funk–inspired Mothership is a mobile DJ booth and broadcast platform launched in Detroit’s historic North End. Drawing on the Afrofuturist imagination and irreverence of its namesake, the project is designed to activate underused architectures and landscapes. Operating simultaneously as urban icon and media instrument, the Mothership amplifies locally rooted cultural narratives and reclaims public space as a site of collective production.
